Parent Teacher Conferences will be on November 5th and November 13th.. more information to follow.

The 6th/7th grade field hockey B-team pulled out a 2-2 tie game with Windham yesterday.  McKayla Russell scored both goals for the Lady Scots who showed tremendous improvement in the circle.  Way to go ladies!!  We love the aggression!

The 7th/8th grade field hockey A-team handled the 8th grade Windham team in the late game at BE 8-0.  Mackenzie Emery scored 3 goals, Amelia Alexander scored 2, and Mya Daniels, Makayla Greene, and Sam Averill scored a goal apiece.  Kiara Field and Sam Averill also had an assist for the Lady Scots.  Great teamwork was shown all around!  15 goals in two games - we can't wait to see what Thursday brings!

The Civil Rights Team will be meeting after school today, in room 56. There is always room for new members so come check it out!

The first meeting for the Newspaper Club will be in Mrs. Norton’s room, 39, after school tomorrow, October. 1st.  Please see/email Mrs. Norton prior to the meeting if you're interested in joining.

Garden Club will begin meeting on October 7th in Room 44.  We will meet weekly until mid-November, then bi-weekly after that.

GREEN DAY
 

The 8th grade girls soccer team won their game against SMC Friday 2-1.  Kanani Lopes scored a goal with an assist from Julia Zampini.  Cassidy Koons scored Bonny Eagle's 2nd goal.

The Pathfinders Program would like to thank all students who attended Fridaynight's Fall Fest Dance.  Bonny Eagle Middle School is filled to the brim with great kids.  It was a great time, thanks to you.   If you see a teacher or staff member today that was at the dance, please take a moment to say thank you.  Teachers and staff volunteer their time so that we can sponsor great events like this for kids.  Without them, there would be no events.

There is NO Drama Club today after school.  Drama club will meet again Monday for students to whom Ms. Schaper has spoken.  The list of those students is on Ms. Schaper's door.

GREEN Day

The 8th grade girls soccer team lost their first soccer game to Windham last night. 

Coach Riesbeck's 7th grade girls soccer team won their game against Windham yesterday 6-0. Hat tricks by Emily Byrne and Maddy Boothby. Incredible defense and goal tending.  Well done girls! Practice Tuesday.   Bring uniforms.

Dance club is Thursday.

7th and 8th graders next Friday, the 26th, is the 1st dance of the year!  Both gymnasiums will be open for dancing and/or pick-up games.

Dear Parents of Bonny Eagle MS 7th and 8th Grade Students:

This is an important message for the parents of incoming BEMS 7th and 8th graders that have students under 13 regarding the creation of an Apple ID and password to be used with their MLTI computers and resources.

This message is to inform you that you will soon be receiving important information via email from Apple to give consent for your child to have an Apple ID. It will have a subject line of “Apple ID for Students—Parent/Guardian Information.” The email from Apple will contain the steps necessary to create the Apple ID. This Apple ID is necessary for your child to fully use their MLTI computer and its accompanying resources. Please complete this process as soon as possible.

There is no field hockey practice this afternoon.

 

"Help with Homework".  The program is staffed by volunteers and run by former teachers at Standish Congretional UCC Church.  Tutoring hours are weekly from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Wednesdays.  Certain guidelines apply.  Please contact guidance for a brochure or call 642-2487.

 

Drama club will meet Tuesday, tomorrow, for cast only in the lowlands gym.  Full cast and crew will meet Wednesday.

Parent/Community Education Night

Parent/Community Education Night (for Adults only)

Murchie Gym at BEMS, Thursday, September 25th, 6:30-8:30pm

Melissa Fernald, therapist and presenter for Safe Surroundings and a former community member and parent in our district, will set up a mock teenage bedroom with over 75 signs of risky behavior.  Participants will walk through this set-up and note what they've picked up on.  Melissa will then educate parents/community members about the various forms of risky behavior (alcohol, drugs, cutting, burning, eating disorders, etc.) and teach them how to address concerns with their teens.
