Tryouts for 7th grade basketball will begin Monday, Nov. 3rd from 2:15-4 and continue on Nov. 4th and 6th.

8th grade basketball tryouts will also be Monday Nov. 3rd, 4th and 6th but from 4-5:30, you will need a ride home at 5:30.

The next Newspaper Club meeting will be on Wednesday, November 12th, after school, in Mrs. Norton's room.

Monday 10/27 - Sock it to Drugs - Wear Crazy or mis-matched socks.
Tuesday 10/28 - Dress in Red Day - All homerooms that have 100% of the students wearing red will be entered in a drawing for a pizza party.  Please note:  No face painting is allowed.
Wednesday 10/29 - Wacky Wednesday - Dress in a wacky outfit because having fun is a natural high!

Cross Country meet scheduled for today has been rescheduled to Monday, October 27th. Same Time, Same Location.

Drama Club Sets will not meet today.

There IS drama today for actors, tech, costumes, and make-up for grades 6 and 8.
Thursday (tomorrow) all actors bring your costumes, and make-up, please come to rehearsal.

Dance, dance, dance!!  PBIS is sponsoring a 7th and 8th grade dance Thursday night, from 6:30-8:30. Tickets are $5.00 at the door. Pizza will be sold at the dance, and there will be a free raffle and prizes given to students.  Don’t want to dance, join your friends in the Murchie Gym for games.  Don’t miss out on a fun night!

Wanna good Scare? Baillie Clan is selling raffle tickets for 6th graders, for 2 tickets to the Field of Screams Hayride in Old Orchard Beach. Tickets are being sold in the 6th grade lobby for 2$ until Thursday! Not that many tickets have been sold so your chances are GREAT! Winner will be drawn Thursday afternoon. It's Spooktacular!

Lego Robotics is cancelled for today,  Oct 22.

Ski And Snowboard Club:

Do you Ski or Snowboard?  
Do you want to learn to Ski Or Snowboard?
Are you bored during our long Maine winters and want to find a new activity to help pass the time?  

If so...Join Ski/Snowboard Club and come rip up the mountain at Shawnee Peak!!!! 
We go on 4 trips - two Friday Night trips, and two full Saturday trips!
The trips will be following dates:
Saturday, January 10
Friday, January 16
Saturday, January 24
Friday, January 30

Shawnee Peak gives us a great deal for lift tickets and/or Rentals!  
Check out the 14-15 Informational Letter for all Information needed!  This information can be found in the Main Office and in the 6th Grade Lobby.

**  This is not a school funded trip.  It is paid for by students and their families.

The 8th grade girls soccer team beat King 3-0 Friday night.  Keelin Sweeney scored all 3 of Bonny Eagle's goals.

Thank you to all who contributed to Hat Day.  We raised over $200 for our school’s backpack food program.

Girls Pathfinders meets today in room 12 at 2:15.

The 8th grade boys defeated Windham by the score of 6-0    Goals were scored by Zack Allocca, Detrick Enking, Regan McCleary and a Hat trick by David Byrne.  The next home game will be Friday after school.

Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, November 5th and Thursday, November 13th.  This year our fall conference sign ups are online for your convenience.  Please visit http://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Bonny_Eagle_Middle_School   At this site you may select the clan in which you would like to have a conference.  You will also be able to select a time to meet with other staff that is involved in your child's learning (i.e. Guidance Counselor, Resource Teacher, Allied Arts Teacher, etc.)  If you do not have access to the internet and wish to sign up for a conference, please contact your child's homeroom teacher at 929-3833.

The 8th grade field hockey team lost a close game to Scarborough yesterday, losing in the last minutes, 4-3.   Two goals were scored by Makala Greene and one goal by Sam Averill with assists from Mackenzie Emery and Amelia Alexander.  Mya Daniels had an excellent defensive game.

Thursday sports:
The 8th grade boy's soccer team defeated Moore by the score of 5 to 1.  Four goals were scored by Regan McCleary and one by Detrick Enking. The next home game is Wednesday the 15th of October.  Come support the team.  


The 8th grade girls soccer team beat Moore last night 3-1.  Gabby Profenno, Emma Walker, and Keelin Sweeney each scored a goal.  Sydney Gillingham and Sophia Merrifield played great in goal.
