INFORMATION ON THE MISSED TRIPS

The Friday, 1/16th trip that was cancelled due to extreme cold
temperatures will be rescheduled for Friday, February 13th.  Please note
that this is the start of February Vacation.  The bus will leave at
4pm sharp so please arrive with enough time to load gear/get checked in
on the bus.

**  All student should go home on their regular busses and return back for ski club.  They will not be able to stay straight through this year.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

-----------------------

The Friday trip that was cancelled on 1/30 is NOT going to be rescheduled.
Shawnee has agreed to give every student a voucher for this missed
trip (otherwise we would be into February vacation and participation is
VERY low this week).  I encourage all paying participants to start making
plans NOW so that kids can ski together and use their vouchers  (maybe February vacation?!).  Make plans early so these vouchers can be used!

Shawnee has agreed to give a voucher for each trip that students
missed.  This year is an exception to the one voucher rule as
three trips being rescheduled makes it tough for parents
to plan.

--------------------------
VOUCHER INFORMATION

I have the vouchers for the first two missed trips as well as the voucher
that will be given to all paying participants for the trip that is not being
rescheduled.

Please tell your child to get their vouchers at the following places/times:
Monday, February 9 - Wednesday, February 11
           7:10 - 7:40       Main Office
          1:55 - 2:15        Room 64 in the 7th grade Wing
Thursday, February 12
           9:10 - 9:40       Main Office
          1:55 - 2:15        Room 64 in the 7th grade Wing
IT IS UP TO THE STUDENTS TO PICK UP THE VOUCHERS ON THESE DAYS
DURING HOMEROOM TIMES!  I am not able to access student schedules so will
not be delivering them to the students.  Due to having classes, I will not be giving
them out during the school day even if students stop by.

Please discuss with your child that when given these vouchers it is
their responsibility to get them home safely.  These vouchers
are valued at $60.00 and replacements will not be given out for lost
vouchers.  Shawnee gives us a great group discount deal (the Saturday lift tickets are $63.00 and Friday evenings are $32.00).  They only give enough vouchers for each student who has missed a trip, as well as the non rescheduled trip.

*****  As we do not yet know who will need vouchers for the Friday, February 13th trip, I was not able to get the vouchers.
*****  If your child is not able to attend the ski trip on Friday the 13th and needs a voucher and you would like it for February Vacation, please HAVE YOUR CHILD PUT A SELF ADDRESSED/STAMPED ENVELOPE IN THE BOX IN THE MAIN OFFICE THAT IS LABELED "SKI CLUB".  I WILL GET THE VOUCHERS ON THE 13TH AND WILL PUT THEM IN THE MAIL ON MY WAY HOME FRIDAY NIGHT SO PEOPLE SHOULD RECEIVE THEM BY TUESDAY OF FEBRUARY VACATION.
For the students who do not leave a self addressed stamped envelope, I will be handing out the vouchers the Monday and Tuesday after February Vacation.
Sorry about not being able to get them for the start of vacation, but I do not have the vouchers yet.

VOUCHER INFORMATION:
  • The vouchers can be used ANY day with NO blackout dates.
  • Vouchers are good from opening until closing.
  • If the participant got rentals, they will get rentals for the voucher trip also.
  • Vouchers expire December 30, 2015 (but, there is a risk at waiting as some winters mean late snow arrival).
