Back Pack Fundraiser
We
have partnered with Whole Foods for our district back pack fundraising
efforts. They are very interested in supporting our schools. They have
donated money to each school to purchase products from Whole Foods to
create "goodie baskets". These baskets are being raffled off at each
school and will be at Whole Foods on the school's designated evening.
As part of the Maine community, they make every effort to participate in
sponsorship of local schools and nonprofits. They recognize that there are
countless worthwhile organizations and individuals to work with and
would love to be involved with all of them! They review all requests and
support those organizations that most closely align with Whole Foods
Market's core values. They are currently focusing on children’s health,
education and school needs.
Bonny Eagle
Middle School will be at Whole Foods on Tuesday, October 6th with these
baskets. We are selling raffle tickets, one for $2.00 and three raffle
tickets for $5.00. We also have the baskets on display in the main
office. Come in, check out the baskets and support our backpack
program.
Whole Foods will also select the top three school district projects that they feel are
eligible for a 5% Day. They donate 5% of one day’s net store sales to the
selected school district. 5% Days tend to raise $5,000-$7,000.
