Announcements:

1) Drama -  On Nov. 1st there will be a party for all cast and crew!

2) Math Team for 7th and 8th graders will begin Tuesday, November 1 in room 35 after second wave. Students will take the activity bus home.

3) The 7th and 8th grade field hockey teams will be having their end of season party on Tuesday, November 1st after school in Mrs. Anderson's room (59).  Please sign up to bring something on the Google Form that was shared.  Thank you!

4) Order yearbooks online with a credit card at jostens.com, or with cash or check in Room 83. Hardcover yearbooks are 25 dollars, and softcover are 20 dollars. Make checks to BEMS Yearbook.

5) The next community service meeting is scheduled for November 1st

6)  Game Club will be cancelled on Tuesday November 1

7) 7th grade boys and girls basketball tryouts begin on Monday, November 7 .  Please report to the Murchie gym after second wave.  

8th grade girls basketball tryouts will begin on Tuesday, November 8.  Please report to the Murchie gym after second wave.

8th grade boys basketball and cheering tryouts will begin on Monday, November 14.  Basketball report to the Murchie gym and cheering to the cafeteria after second wave.

1) Knitting and Fiber club will be meeting today and every Tuesday in room 2 and all are welcome.

2) Sixth grade student council will have their first meeting today.   Any 6th grader interested in attending should meet in room 13 after 2nd dismissal.

3) The first Basketball Club meeting for 6th grade boys and girls who signed up is today, after 2nd wave in the Murchie Gym.

1) 7th and 8th grade students who are interested in buying a keyboard cover, Sinclair clan will be selling them in the library this morning before homeroom. Solid colors are $3 and patterns are $5. Come shop!

1)  Bonny Eagle Middle School Hockey Registration is open to all 5th through 8th grade students Sunday, October 16th at USM Ice Arena 3:30 pm. For more information go to: bemshockey@gmail.com

2) Community Service will meet on Monday, October 17th after second wave.  Please bring markers, crayons and/or colored pencils.

3) Knitting and fiber club will begin on Tuesday October 18th in room 2.  All are welcome...no knitting experience required. Our first projects will be fall felting projects.

4) . Newspaper will also meet next Tuesday.

8) The 8th grade girls soccer team tied SMC last night 4-4 at home.  Gretchen Biegel, Hailey Koons, Jocelyn Manson, and Ava Rausch scored for Bonny Eagle.

1)  We are kicking off this year's Civil Rights Team Project! We will be having our first meeting next today, October 11th after school in Mrs. Jones room (6th grade wing). All are welcome!
2) "Winter Sports Sign-ups will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 in each clan.  The sign-ups will be for 7th and 8th Grade Boys and Girls Basketball and 7th & 8th Grade Cheering."

4) Yearbooks are on sale! This week through Columbus Day, preorder a yearbook for four dollars off the standard price. They usually cost $25 for hardcover or $20 for softcover; right now, order them for $21 or $16. That's sixteen to twenty percent off! Go to jostens.com and search Bonny Eagle Middle School, or see Mr. DeMaris in Room 83 for cash or check. Make checks out to BEMS Yearbook. Get one while they're cheaper!
5) .On Thursday, October 6th the PBIS committee will be hosting a 7th and 8th grade dance from 6:30-8:30. The cost will be $5 at the door. Pizza, water, and chips will be on sale. Basketball, jump rope, and other activities will also be available for students who don't want to dance.

11) The 7th grade field hockey team suffered a tough loss to South Portland 2-1 yesterday. After dominating most of the game the Scots scored their only goal on a Emma Burnham shot. As always, the Lady Scots represented Bonny Eagle well by working hard and hustling throughout the game. Let's get the ball in the cage tonight against Windham ladies! Go Scots!
12) The 8th grade field hockey team lost to Windham yesterday 3-1.  Juliette Adams scored for the Scots.  Sage Drinkwater had another strong offensive game at wing.  Next game is Tuesday at home vs. Scarborough.  Go Scots!

3) Community Service club will meet Tuesday, October 4th.  Please meet in the office after second wave.

4) 7th grade Student Council will be meeting in Mrs. Norton's room (room 39) after school on Tuesday, Oct. 4th.

5) Intramural field hockey will start Tuesday, Oct 4th! For 6th grade girls, or 7th and 8th graders who want to try a new sport. E​​-mail Ms. Atkinson if you are interested.  Or, ask your clan leader for a flyer with all of the information. See Ms. Atkinson in Rm 52 with any questions.

11) The 8th grade girls soccer team beat Lincoln 6-0 on Friday night.  Hailey Koons scored 3 goals with Avery Goan, Ava Rausch, and Gretchen Biegel each scoring one goal.  Jocelyn Manson, Delia Havu and DD Swett played tough defense for the Lady Scots.

12) 7th Grade girls did it again! A win over Lincoln 11-0. Goals scored by Meaghan Champagne with 1, Kaitlyn Regan with 1, Libby Dyer with 2, Chole Laraviee with 3, Emily Jackson with AJ Sweat with 1 and Emma Madore with 1. Excellent goal tending by Lydia Nedimeyer and Lilly Harmon. Next game is today home vs. Windham.
