3) Improv Club is a club for any student who wants to have fun and learn about drama through improvisational theatre games.  No experience needed.  The last meeting is today!

4) There are still spots available for BEMS Swim Club.  Please see Mr. Laprise if you have any questions or need the Sign-up Forms.

6) The YAC program is ending in late February!  That means that there will be extra prizes for Jan. and Feb.  Get those YAC reviews in for the next drawing on Tues., Jan 31st and then again right before Feb. vacation!  Keep reading and reviewing!

7) Garden Club will meet tomorrow February 1st and again on the 15th.

8) Indoor Track begins on Tuesday, Feb. 7th.

If you have signed up and have your medical records in order, please report to the Murchie Gym AFTER 2nd Wave.  Practice will be held for all track members next Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday.

3) BEMS Chess Club is pleased to announce its annual tournament will be open to all students this year. Please advise any interested students to sign up at https://goo.gl/1ntybn

-Attendance at Chess Club is not required to participate.

-Students who wish to participate must register before the end of the day today.

The bus leaves promptly at 4pm and should be back to the middle school by 10:15.

Vouchers will be given out in the Main Office during the week of January 30th.  These have no blackout dates and are good from opening till closing at Shawnee.  If a student paid for rentals, the voucher will come with a rental.  Lessons do not get credited.

Announcements:

Box Tops For Books Competition!

Please join the Parent Community Council in collecting Box Tops For Books! The Homeroom that collects the most box tops will receive a $5.00 certificate for each student to the Spring Scholastic Buy-One-Get-One Book Fair along with a $20.00 gift certificate for the Teacher. The PCC will provide a bag to collect the box tops in marked with each homeroom Teacher's name. The bags will be collected and counted on January 23rd and February 6th. The Top 10 homerooms will be posted in the cafeteria and on the PCC website. The Competition will end February 16th at 9:00 AM, results will be posted February 17th at 9:00 AM! 2) Winter 2 Sports Sign-ups continue.  Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 will be able to sign up for either Indoor Track or Wrestling using our new online link found at https://sites.google.com/a/bonnyeagle.org/bemsathletics/home .

Just click on the link for "Sports Sign-ups" and fill out the form.  The window for online sign-ups ends today!

Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 interested in Swim Club will need to get a form from Mr. Laprise in room 33.

1) The BEMS hockey A team beat St. Doms Sunday evening 8-3. Goals were scored by Logan Caron, Will Galligan, and Cadence Howard. They are now 7-1-1 on the season.

The B team had a tough loss against Scarborough.

By the end of the club, you will learn how to fingerspell your name, sign colors, numbers, days of the week, and sign basic sentences to communicate with a deaf person!!
