Announcements:
~Box Top - last day for submissions is the 25th. winner will be announced Friday

~Garden
club will be having it’s first meeting tomorrow Today, October 24th. If
you’re interested in learning to garden and cook, or just enjoy playing
in the dirt, please join us! All grades are welcome. If you have any
question feel free to email Mr. Christensen or Mr. Avery. The group
will meet in the health room nears the cafeteria.
~Buy a yearbook online at jostens.com with a credit card or in person in Room 83 with cash or check. Hardcovers are 25 dollars, and softcovers are 20 dollars.
Yearbook Club meets after school today.
Chess Club meets in Room 83 tomorrow, not in the cafeteria.
~Ski
and Snowboard Club packets are available outside of the copy room on
the bulletin board. We go to Shawnee Peak four times - two Friday
nights and two Saturdays. If you have never skied or boarded, now is
the time to learn!! Packets are due by November 14th so grab a packet
for all of the information.
~The
7th grade girls soccer team beat Moore 3-0 Monday. Abby Cole scored
all 3 of the Scots goals. There was also great support from Glacie
Bridges, Alexis Breault, Olivia Tarbox and Emily Morrill.
~
There will be a new board game club! It will be every Wednesday in
room 4 starting November 1st. Sign up is on Mr. Lattari’s door Room 4 in
Sinclair wing.
~In soccer, 8th grade girls dominated a visiting Moore team in a thrilling encounter at BEMS yesterday.
The Scots hit the target with 18 of their 22 shots, and once again entertained with seven different goalscorers:
Chloe
Lariviere, Meaghan Champagne, Monique Alexander, and Hayley Johnson all
netted in the first half, and Solveig Marles, Elizabeth Forestiere and
Emma Madore wrapped it up in the second half for a 7-0 win.
Solveig Marles and Monique Alexander each had 2 assists.
In goal, Lily Harmon, Hayley Johnson, Emily Jackson and Emily Girard combined for the shut-out.
15 of the 19-player 8th grade girls team have now scored goals this season, for a total of 31 goals.
