Announcements:

~Box Top - last day for submissions is the 25th. winner will be announced Friday

Due to some special circumstances the following teams will be dismissed today at 1:50 pm.

~Garden club will be having it’s first meeting tomorrow Today, October 24th. If you’re interested in learning to garden and cook, or just enjoy playing in the dirt, please join us! All grades are welcome. If you have any question feel free to email Mr. Christensen or Mr. Avery.  The group will meet in the health room nears the cafeteria.

~Buy a yearbook online at jostens.com with a credit card or in person in Room 83 with cash or check. Hardcovers are 25 dollars, and softcovers are 20 dollars.

Yearbook Club meets after school today.

Chess Club meets in Room 83 tomorrow, not in the cafeteria.

~Ski and Snowboard Club packets are available outside of the copy room on the bulletin board.  We go to Shawnee Peak four times - two Friday nights and two Saturdays.  If you have never skied or boarded, now is the time to learn!!  Packets are due by November 14th so grab a packet for all of the information.  

~The 7th grade girls soccer team beat Moore 3-0 Monday.  Abby Cole scored all 3 of the Scots goals.  There was also great support from Glacie Bridges, Alexis Breault, Olivia Tarbox and Emily Morrill.

~  There will be a new board game club! It will be every Wednesday in room 4 starting November 1st. Sign up is on Mr. Lattari’s door Room 4 in Sinclair wing.

~In soccer, 8th grade girls dominated a visiting Moore team in a thrilling encounter at BEMS yesterday.
The Scots hit the target with 18 of their 22 shots, and once again entertained with seven different goalscorers:
Chloe Lariviere, Meaghan Champagne, Monique Alexander, and Hayley Johnson all netted in the first half, and Solveig Marles, Elizabeth Forestiere and Emma Madore wrapped it up in the second half for a 7-0 win.
Solveig Marles and Monique Alexander each had 2 assists.
In goal, Lily Harmon, Hayley Johnson, Emily Jackson and Emily Girard combined for the shut-out.
15 of the 19-player 8th grade girls team have now scored goals this season, for a total of 31 goals.

~Civil Rights Team will meet tomorrow, Tuesday October 24th in Mrs. Jones' room, room 11.
~Board Game Club is beginning soon. It meets every Wednesday in room 4 starting 11/1. Sign up is on the door Room 4 in Sinclair wing

~8th grade girls soccer recorded 12 of 19 shots on target as they beat SMC by 9 goals to 0. Meaghan Champagne scored a hat-trick, including one PK, and was joined on the scoresheet by Sydney Noble, Hayley Jordan, Kaitlyn Regan, Chloe Larivierre, Lindsey Palmer, and Emily Girard. Lindsey Palmer recorded 2 assists. Anna White, Lydia Niedermeyer, and Hayley Jordan combined in goal for the shut-out.

~The 8th grade boys soccer team tied SMC yesterday 2-2. The Scots took a two goal lead behind 2 goals from Jeff Painchaud, but conceded 2 unanswered 2nd half goals. Timothy Zidle and Gavin Ruginski played great defensive games while Parker Paul commanded the middle of the field for Bonny Eagle.

~The 7th grade girls soccer team lost a really close game against Gorham Friday night 1-0.  Allie Doughty, Molly Hamliton, Emily Gower, Anna Smith and Ember Hastings helped to keep the game close for the Lady Scots.

~8th grade girls soccer fell to a 1-0 loss against a visiting Gorham Friday.

SPIRITWEAR BEMS LOGO DESIGN OPPORTUNITY
The Parent Community Council is excited to offer students an opportunity to design a logo for BEMS Spiritwear! Students will have from October 10th to October 16th at 2:00 p.m. to submit their designs to their clan leaders! No submissions will be accepted after 2:00 p.m. on October 16th.

Students are being asked to design a logo that represents BEMS Scots. The design is NOT to include any profanity, vulgar or inappropriate images.This is an opportunity for students to choose a design that they want to wear to represent themselves and their school throughout their years at BEMS. We encourage all students to participate, but it is not required.

Students will need to be careful while creating their design. It will need to be drawn using a fine black marker, such as a black fine point sharpie. NO shading. We will have to trace the design and that is only possible if done using the criteria above.

Libby Dyer equalised late as 8 grade girl soccer battled hard to earn a 2-2 tie at Windham yesterday. Emily Jackson made it 1-1 off a Monique Alexander assist Midway through the first half.

The 7th grade girls lost to Windham last night.  Ember Hastings had multiple saves at goal.  Lillian Gaudiano, Emily Gower, and Anna Smith played really well for the Lady Scots.

·      Game club will start Tuesday, Oct 24. Sign ups in Rm 19. 30 students max.

Green Day

Announcements:
~All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders:  Would you like to log into the Library Catalog,  Alexandria, to place your own holds and write book reviews?  Simply stop in the library to get your student barcode number.  All students use their barcode number as their username and their last name as their password.  Give it a try!
~The 8th grade field hockey game scheduled for today has been postponed.  Stay tuned for the re-schedule date.
~Community Service club will meet on Monday, October 16th

~Bonny Eagle Basketball league sign ups for boys in the middle school who are interested in playing league basketball.  Sign ups will be Today, October 4th and October 11th from 6-8 pm in the middle school cafeteria.  Or sign up online  bonnyeaglebasketballleague.com  Be sure to sign up early!
~All Drama Club members need to be checking the calendar to make sure that they know when to come to rehearsal.  If you need a new calendar, please see Mrs. Melaugh or Miss. Schaper.
