~Students, your school needs your help.  Step 1: right now, someone in your homeroom should stand up and walk over to your classroom recycling bin - that's the big blue bin.
Now I have two questions for you?  Is it full?  Are the things in the recycling bin actually all recyclable materials?
Step 2:  if you choose to accept the challenge, take your bin out to the hallway and do one of two things:  if your recycled material is "clean", dump it in the blue recycling containers.  If your recycling is "dirty" - like milk has spilled on it, or decomposing foods are emitting an interesting odor, or plastic bags and candy wrappers are mixed in...then, unfortunately proceed to your nearest trash barrel and dump the whole thing in!  We can't recycle that.  :(
Step 3:   Please wipe out your classroom bin for a fresh start.
Step 4:  If you would like to do more in our school to help recycling efforts, please talk to your clan leader.  Teams will be trained per grade level.
Help make a positive difference!  It's easy if we all work together.  And thank you!  Any questions can be directed to Ms. Atkinson in Rm 52.
