Announcements:

~The schools  across the district are working together to help the school children in Florida who have been affected by Hurricane Irma.  Superintendent Penna has been in contact with SAPPI (Westbrook), as they are also doing a collection of goods and have access to trucks and contacts who will distribute and store collected items.  We have until Sept 29th to collect our items.  Please see the flyers in the classroom as to suggested items to collect. Each clan will have a designated collection box.
The campaign has begun and will end on Friday, Sept. 29th.  Please help us to help others!

~Winter Sports Sign-ups coming soon!
Winter Sports sign-ups will be during the week of Oct. 2  - Oct. 6.  Winter sports include Basketball and cheering for both boys and girls in grades 7 and 8.  


~ Are you interested in being on the morning news or helping run the camera? We are looking for a few 6th or 7th graders to help out! Just drop by in the morning at 7:15 to the library!

~ The Pathfinder barn dedication is this Sat., 4-7pm.   

~There will be a PBIS dance for 7th and 8th graders next Thursday, October 5th from 6:30-8:30. The cost is $5 at the door. Pizza, water and chips will be sold at the dance. Basketball, ping pong, and other activities will be available for those who don't want to dance.

~All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders:  Would you like to log into the Library Catalog,  Alexandria, to place your own holds and write book reviews?  Simply stop in the library to get your student barcode number.  All students use their barcode number as their username and their last name as their password.  Give it a try!

~Yearbooks are on sale! Order online at jostens.com with a credit card or in person in Room 83 with cash or check. Until Friday, September 29 they are four dollars off, so buy one now! Hardcovers are 21 dollars, and softcovers are 16 dollars.

~Emily Jackson scored a stunning 40 yard goal in the 11th minute at Scarborough yesterday as the 8th grade girls dominated a thrilling game. Scarborough pushed in the last 10 minutes however to take the game 2-1.

The 7th grade field hockey started off their season with a bang Tuesday at Moore M.S. in Portland with a 3-0 victory. Bridget Thompson scored a hat trick with all 3 goals for the Lady Scots off of beautiful assists by Jordan Gryskcwicz (2) and Payton Adams (1). Way to go ladies!

The 7th grade girls soccer team lost a hard fought game against Scarborough 3-0.  Ember Hastings had some great saves at goal with Paige Barnes, Jubalee Dennison, and Emily Gower all playing strong for the Lady Scots.

Sign-ups for Winter 1 sports will occur the first week of October.  BEMS offers Basketball and Cheering for 7th and 8th grade students.  Students will need to sign up online using their bonnyeagle.org email at the following address under the "Sports Sign-ups" tab.


Reminder...all participants are required to have an updated proof of physical on record at the school in order to participate.  Physicals are good for two years.

Tryouts/season will begin on November 6, 2017.

~8th grade girls soccer enjoyed a 6-0 win at King Middle School yesterday, with goals from Hayley Jordan, Sydney Noble, Libby Dyer, Anna White, Kat Knaack, and Monique Alexander. Go Scots!

~The 7th grade girls soccer team won their first game against King last night 4-1.  Molly Hamilton and Lauren Manson each scored a goal with Abby Cole scoring two goals for the Lady Scots.  Allie Doughty and Grace Dixon lead a strong defense.

To clear any confusion, there is only ONE Hat Day - it is on Friday, Sept. 22nd.  All proceeds will benefit Hurricane victims.  Student Council will be distributing envelopes for money collection on Thursday, Sept. 21st.

~ Are you a 7th or 8th grader who is interested in being a member of Student Council? If you think you might want to join Student Council, please stay after with Mrs. Norton, in room 39, Today Th., Sept. 14th, to learn more about it!

~  Are you interested in spending time in the great outdoors?  The 7th and 8th grade Fall Pathfinders Teams are organizing NOW.  E-mail Ms. Atkinson or Mr. Pease if you are interested in joining Pathfinders.  Or, give your name to your homeroom teacher to pass along to us.   We need to hear from you now!  

~  7th and 8th graders! The first dance and open gym will be Friday, Sept 15th.   6:30 - 8:30.  $5 at the door.  
No time for supper?  No worries.  We'll also be hosting a BBQ - burgers, hotdogs, popcorn, and snacks for sale.

~Yearbooks are on sale! Order online at jostens.com with a credit card or in person in Room 83 with cash or check. Until Friday, September 29 they are four dollars off, so buy one now! Hardcovers are 21 dollars, and softcovers are 16 dollars.

~ Boys' Fall Pathfinders will be meeting in room 36 today, Thursday, September 14th, after second wave. Interested? See Mr. Pease in room 36.

~ Girl Scout information night Sept 15  at Buxton Elementary from 6-730.  Can't make it?  Contact Michelle Prejean at 468-0706 for info and to join. Come find out how girls in middle school and high school can have a great time as Girl Scouts.
