Announcements:

~The schools  across the district are working together to help the school children in Florida who have been affected by Hurricane Irma.  Superintendent Penna has been in contact with SAPPI (Westbrook), as they are also doing a collection of goods and have access to trucks and contacts who will distribute and store collected items.  We have until Sept 29th to collect our items.  Please see the flyers in the classroom as to suggested items to collect. Each clan will have a designated collection box.
The campaign has begun and will end on Friday, Sept. 29th.  Please help us to help others!

~Winter Sports Sign-ups coming soon!
Winter Sports sign-ups will be during the week of Oct. 2  - Oct. 6.  Winter sports include Basketball and cheering for both boys and girls in grades 7 and 8.  


~ Are you interested in being on the morning news or helping run the camera? We are looking for a few 6th or 7th graders to help out! Just drop by in the morning at 7:15 to the library!

~ The Pathfinder barn dedication is this Sat., 4-7pm.   

~There will be a PBIS dance for 7th and 8th graders next Thursday, October 5th from 6:30-8:30. The cost is $5 at the door. Pizza, water and chips will be sold at the dance. Basketball, ping pong, and other activities will be available for those who don't want to dance.

~All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders:  Would you like to log into the Library Catalog,  Alexandria, to place your own holds and write book reviews?  Simply stop in the library to get your student barcode number.  All students use their barcode number as their username and their last name as their password.  Give it a try!

~Yearbooks are on sale! Order online at jostens.com with a credit card or in person in Room 83 with cash or check. Until Friday, September 29 they are four dollars off, so buy one now! Hardcovers are 21 dollars, and softcovers are 16 dollars.

~Newspaper meets next week.

~Emily Jackson scored a stunning 40 yard goal in the 11th minute at Scarborough yesterday as the 8th grade girls dominated a thrilling game. Scarborough pushed in the last 10 minutes however to take the game 2-1.

The 7th grade field hockey started off their season with a bang Tuesday at Moore M.S. in Portland with a 3-0 victory. Bridget Thompson scored a hat trick with all 3 goals for the Lady Scots off of beautiful assists by Jordan Gryskcwicz (2) and Payton Adams (1). Way to go ladies!

The 7th grade girls soccer team lost a hard fought game against Scarborough 3-0.  Ember Hastings had some great saves at goal with Paige Barnes, Jubalee Dennison, and Emily Gower all playing strong for the Lady Scots.
~Bonny Eagle Basketball league sign ups for boys in the middle school who are interested in playing league basketball.  Sign ups will be on October 4th and October 11th from 6-8 pm in the middle school cafeteria.  Or sign up online  bonnyeaglebasketballleague.com  Be sure to sign up early!
