Student council continues to sponsor a drive of non-perishable food items
and toiletries. Drop them off in Mrs. Norton’s room, #39. Donations
will be accepted until December 10th; and will be donated to
“Catherine’s Pantry” in Standish.
Student Council collects metal tabs
all year long to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in Portland.
Bring your tabs to the library and put them in the large jar.
Turkey Teacher Time for all 6th graders!!!
Buy
your feathers for .25 cents from Baillie Clan. Put them toward a
teacher of your choice. The teacher with the most feathers by
Thanksgiving vacation, will wear the most embarrassing turkey hat for
the WHOLE day...greeting buses, lunch time, and bus diSmissal. Come
on...Let's get feathering!
Every Wednesday the Chess Club meets during 2nd Quarter in room 98.
Starting Wednesday, Dec. 3rd, is gaming club!
Join Mr. Bishop in Room 9, and play computer, board or card games
such as minecraft, magic, yu-gi-oh, pokemon, risk, sorry, monopoly..
Play and meet new friends.

Student Council will be holding a "Holiday Door Decorating Contest".
Decorating may not begin before Monday, Dec. 8th and doors must be completed by Monday, Dec. 15th. Judging will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 17th, and winners will be announced on Thursday. Dec. 18th. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated door at each grade level. There is to be no adult involvement. Criteria will be distributed on Monday, Dec. 1st.
Standish Parks and Rec is hosting a dance for Grade 7 & 8 on Friday, November 21st. See the attached flyer for further details.
Please note that this is NOT a school sponsored dance. Teachers and administrators will not be present. Standish Rec will provide the chaperones.
