GREEN DAY 

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH - 2 HOUR LATE ARRIVAL FOR STUDENTS

Announcements:

• There will be a 6th grade dance this Thursday, Nov. 19th from 2:15- 4:00 to benefit the BEMS Giving Tree- cost is 5.00 and tickets will be sold next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the 6th grade wing.  Refreshments will be sold and late buses are available!
• Student Council is collecting items for Homeless Veterans of Maine.    They are in desperate need of socks, gloves, mittens, hats, coats, and blankets. Donations of new or clean, gently used items may be dropped off in Mrs. Norton's or Mr. Lambert's room.  There will also be a box in the office for parents and other adults to drop off items.  If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Mrs. Norton.
• There will be a dance for 7th and 8th graders this Friday, November 20th.  The dance will be held in the Lowlands Gym from 6:30 - 8:30.  All proceeds will go to benefit the 7th grade class.  Food and drink will be available.  Tickets will be $5.00 each; ticket sales will begin on Monday the 16th.
• Baillie clan is hosting it's 3rd annual Turkey Teacher Fundraiser. Baillie clan will be selling feathers for  25 cents a piece. Buy as many as you would like as often as you want! The teacher with the most feathers by November 24th will have to wear a turkey on their head...ALL DAY! Greeting buses, teaching class and eating lunch! Feathers can be bought in Mr. Avery's room. Gobble Gobble!
• Buy a yearbook! They are twenty-three dollars for hardcover, or eighteen dollars for paperback. Go to jostens.com or see Mr. DeMaris in room 83. Buy one; it's worth it!
• The Fiber Club is starting up! Come learn to knit or crochet or share your love for knitting and crocheting with others. The fiber club will meet every Tuesday starting tomorrow, November 17th, right after school in Room 2.
• Craft Club Sign-ups are outside of RM 58 and 59.  
• Cheering Tryouts for 7th and 8th grade students will begin on Monday, November 16 in the cafeteria.  All participants should report the cafe after second wave.
• 7th and 8th grade math teams will start practicing on Wednesdays 2:15 - 4:00 in Mrs. Davis' room, room 84.  The first math meet is Tues., Dec. 8th.  Math teachers - please encourage any math enthusiasts to give it a try!!  

• Garden Club meets every Tuesday in Mr. Avery’s room in the 6th grade hall.
• Lego Robotic Team will be meeting Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week, 11/16 to 11/19.
• Chess Club will meet Wednesday in Room 98.
• Writer’s club will meet Wednesday with Mr. Pease.
• If you would like to be a member of the Community Service Club, please join us for our first meeting on Wednesday, November 18th after SECOND wave in Room 23.  Please sign up with Mrs. Aiken in the office.  Limited to 20 students.
