NO SCHOOL WEDNESDAY,  NOVEMBER 11th

Announcements:

• The library will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 10 while Mrs. DInino is at a conference.  Come and get your books today!
• There will be no 8th grade girls basketball practice today.
• There will be a meeting for National History Day in Mr. Laprise's room (room 32) for all those that signed up on Tuesday after second wave.
• Buy a yearbook! They are twenty-three dollars for hardcover, or eighteen dollars for paperback. Go to jostens.com or see Mr. DeMaris in room 83. Buy one; it's worth it!
• History Day meeting for those students that turned in paperwork to Mr. Laprise will be held on Tuesday, November 10 in room 32.  Please see Mr. Laprise before the meeting if you have questions.
• The Fiber Club is starting up! Come learn to knit or crochet or share your love for knitting and crocheting with others. The fiber club will meet every Tuesday starting November 17th, right after school in Room 2.
• Student Council will be collecting items for Homeless Veterans of Maine.    They are in desperate need of  of socks, gloves, mittens, hats, coats, and blankets. Donations of new or clean, gently used items may be dropped off in Mrs. Norton's or Mr. Lambert's room.  There will also be a box in the office for parents and other adults to drop off items.  If you have any questions regarding this, please contact Mrs. Norton.
• Lego team meeting Wednesday after school in room 57.
• Craft Club Sign-ups are outside of RM 58 and 59.  The first meeting was Nov. 5th.  There will be 3 meetings in November and 3 in December.
• Cheering tryouts will be November 16th - November 19th for 7th and 8th graders.
• 7th and 8th grade math teams will start practicing on Wednesdays 2:15 - 4:00 in Mrs. Davis' room, room 84.  The first math meet is Tues., Dec. 8th.  Math teachers - please encourage any math enthusiasts to give it a try!!  

• Garden Club meets every Tuesday in Mr. Avery’s room in the 6th grade hall.
• Chess Club will meet Wednesdays in Room 98.
• Writer’s club meets on Wednesdays with Mr. Pease.

There is no 8th grade basketball practice today because of a staff meeting. Please report to Mr. Cekutis room 13 after second wave on TUESDAY.

There will be a dance for 7th and 8th graders on Friday, November 20th.  The dance will be held in the Lowlands Gym from 6:30 - 8:30.  All proceeds will go to benefit the 7th grade class.  Food and drink will be available.  Tickets will be $5.00 each; ticket sales will begin on Monday the 16th.
