Announcements:
- The District Jazz Festival has been postponed to Wednesday, February 10th. Same time and place. We will have jazz band rehearsal after school on Tuesday. See Miss Shabo if you have any questions.
- Weekly Trash Talk: Remember liquids are heavy and cost our school a lot of money! Drink ALL of your liquids at lunch, or donate your unopened container to the Share Table, or at least dump remaining liquid in the white pails in the cafeteria.
- BEMS is holding its first annual piano recital in the band room. Interested students should see Mrs. Linnell for an application.. The deadline is March 1st.
- There are a couple of spots left on the the BEMS Swim Club. It begins on February 22nd. Please sign up with Mr. Laprise.
- 7th and 8th graders: Remember the YAC program finishes at the end of February. Come to the library to get your next YAC title!
- Yearbooks are now $25 for hardcover or $20 for paperback — order ahead of time so you are guaranteed to get one! (Go to jostens.com or see Mr. DeMaris in Room 83.)
- This week is spirit week. On Tuesday wear your favorite tie dye shirt!
- Winter Pathfinders meets today.
- Winter Pathfinders meets Tuesday and Thursday in Mr. Pease’s room.
- 7th and 8th grade math teams practice, Wednesdays 2:15 - 4:00 in Mrs. Davis' room, room 84.
- Community Service Club will meet on Wednesday. Please meet in the principal’s office after second wave.
- Writer’s club will meet Wednesdays with Mr. Pease
- Chess Club meets Wednesdays.
Parents and guardians of our 8th Grade Students:
Please come and join the high school administration for a presentation to learn about Proficiency-Based Education and graduation requirements. You will have the opportunity to meet the administrative team and discuss the transition to high school. We gather your questions and concerns to help guide our future work. Please join us in the Middle School Library at 6pm on February 10th.
